Sterile compress for burns, used for first aid with burns and scalded persons. The Burnshield offers protection against contamination and decreases the degree of injury till the doctor arrives.

What is this Burnshield made of?

It is made of a special, extra soft and elastic kind of neutral foamed material, which is imbued in a gel, based on water.

What are the effects of the Burnshield?

• Prophylactic protection against further polution of the sensitive wound
• Effective cover of the burned area
• Flexible adaptation of the compress if a swelling occurs or on a joint
• No dissociation of threats or fibres, which could be imbedded in the wound
• No clogging of the wound through the wet gel
• The gel is sterile and free of any possible contaminations, and, contrary to water, it is able to absorb and invert heat
• If necessary the gel can be washed away with water.
• Contact with the sensitive wound is limited to a minimum
• Effective protection against incfections
• It is easy to take the compresses off
• 60*40cm compresses are large enough to cover the extremities and the upper part of the body
• Additional usage of the outer packaging (e.g. the 20*20 cm, extra long bag of the compress can be used as an outer protective cover for burns on hands and feet. The bag is slit open on one end and together with the compress it is pulled over the wound, fixed and taped on.
